Kareem Thomas is original and innovative with a track record of
success. He embraces both the entrepreneurial and corporate worlds of art and
entertainment. Using his ability to combine vision with management and
creativity with discipline, Kareem has developed a number of artists in
different genres to sharpen their focus and maintain their competitive edge.
Being at the forefront of making business happen. Whether it’s
orchestrating the plans and promotions of a concert event, script writing, movie
productions or negotiating contracts for clients, Kareem is an accomplished
business man who embraces both the entrepreneurial and corporate worlds of art
and entertainment. As the founder of Reel Music Management Group (Movies Music Management),
Power In Numbers Entertainment (Corporate Fundraising Through The Arts.). Kareem has built a
successful venture that encompasses the music, film, theater, fashion, and
artist development segments of the entertainment industry.
Over 2o years experience and through trial and error that has sharpened Kareem's keen eye to focus on details which allows him to
transforms visions into business. Kareem success runs back as far as 1996 where Kareem created an artist management and
development company. The company has been a springboard for many of the Chicago
Land area’s music, spoken word, and custom art design and photography artists.
Over time the word began to spread about the success of Kareem. As a result
in 1998 Kareem was offered and accepted the position of vice president for Unity
Records. During his tenure with the record company he developed and maintained
relationships with industry professionals including an array of local, national
and international celebrities. Kareem also wanted to
give back to the community, so he started “Youth Experience” an after school
program and annual talent showcase. In 2003 Kareem landed the 2003 Erykah Badu and 2004
Mystikal album cover and inserts art work placement. Kareem’s wide range of talent and skill also encompasses the
theater on stage and behind the curtain (co-producer/director). His outstanding work in theater lead him to a keen interest in
script writing, film production and directing. In order to expand his knowledge
base he enrolled in CAN TV’s producer classes. He has since Partnered with
C.L.A.S. Productions on three major film productions under the tutelage of
William “Bill” Pierce - Tactical Action (Production Coordinator,
Production Assistant); Father’s Day (Production Coordinator, Production
Assistant); and 3 (Production Coordinator and Assistant Director). Other
projects include Desire (director) and Baby’s Mama (director).
Kareem’s vision and hard work also lead him to land an assistant
directors position in the 2009 short film Fadelety.com.
Spiritually grounded and faith driven, Kareem continue to seek Unique Talents and has been blessed to work with and develop Singer/Songwriter Actress SandyRedd, whose success has led her to work with Grammy Award Winning
producer’s and share the stage with music giants like hip hop artist 50 cent, R&B artist Monica, Charley Wilson, R&B Divas Syleena Johnson, Angie Stone just to name a few. Kareem has guided her a role in the hit stage play TV
premier of John Ruffin’s “The Ideal Husband” which aired on the GMC network
where she acted alongside Darren Henson, Genuwine, Clifton Powell, Shirley
Murdock and others. The latest success was landing the lead role as Dorothy in the Chicago Broadway musical THE WIZ.
